Peninsula Quarry

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating all occupational health and hygiene services on designated sites including running the site clinic
  • Conducting medical surveillances on all employees and contractors in alignment with the contracted Occupational Medical Practitioner and Occupational Hygienist
  • Identifying hazardous workplace conditions, developing, implementing, evaluating and managing the occupational health programme and legal liability of the operations
  • Analysing and report on incidents and non-conformance
  • Ensuring all medical records are up to date and maintained
  • Providing on-site training on health and wellness as per agreed KPI€™s
  • Developing of site specific Health and Hygiene work instructions in alignment with the Company policy, standards and procedure
  • Reviewing and developing of SOP/ COP€™s
  • Ensuring compliance to all Safety, Health and Environmental legislation
  • SAP Occupational Health and Hygiene

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Nursing
  • Certificate in Occupational Health and Certificate in audiometry and spirometry
  • Registered with South African Nursing Council and with SASOHN for audiometry
  • At least 3 years€™ experience in Occupational Health in manufacturing and or mining industry
  • Comprehensive knowledge of requirements of OHS Act, MHS Act and Acts applicable to AfriSam€™s activities
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office and experience in SHEQ systems will be advantage

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Good interpersonal, problem solving, decision making and change management skills
  • A valid unendorsed EB driver€™s licence and own vehicle
